- A Notebook is a small laptop that is used mainly for surfing the web. These tend to be a lot cheaper than other laptops because they have less functionality. But for those who only want to connect to the internet, they can be the perfect choice.
- The type of software that your computer uses to operate is known as the Operating System. Most computers these days use Windows but Mac OS is also popular. Which programs you can use and the software you can install on your laptop will all depend on the operating system that you have.
- Your laptop will probably have plenty of sockets etc where you can plug in external devices and these sockets are called ports.
